The CLASSIC training runs in the Black River Gorges National Park. Starting at the Black River parking, two classic circuits up to the plateau and back down.
At the driest time of the year, a good end-of-year trail in a shaded, forest area.
Within the reach of all trailers, take it slowly or fast, always a magnificent circuit in a National park

Macchabe Circuit Trail (11km)
Always run with water in summer.

Since parking is limited in Black River Gorges, the rdv is St-Agustin Chrurch. Navettes will take you to and from here to the Black River Gorges National Park parking. Last buses will leave Black River at 7h00.
PLEASE do not park in the National Park parking area. THANK YOU.
A short flat 1 km section followed by 2 km of climb, reaching the Macchabe plateau, a rolling 2 km section with a few short climbs, then a 5 km sweeping descent, back down to the river and parking.. a few magnificent viewpoints and forest run.

High Plateau Circuit Trail (20km)
Carry a phone and water - streams are drinkable (at 8km & 16km) but is is warm and you will need refreshment.
RDV is at St Augustin church. PLEASE DO NOT park in the national park - we are obliged to park outside the park.
Navettes will take you from St Augustin church parking to the Black River gorges, and back when you finish. DON'T BE LATE - last bus leaves St Augustin 5h30.
A lovely forest 100% nature trail, starting with a steep climb of 6km, then a rolling 6km plateau and a 8km flat and descending track. A challenge for some, but a the classic Gorges training circuit for most.
A challenging forest trail, starting with a climb up Parakeet, then along the high plateau Pailles-en-Queue and Les Mares, then down the tracks along Camphriers back to Black River.
