Get ready for the inaugural Trail du Chemin Francais !
Following part of one of the earliest routes on the Ile de France, these two trails open up the wonderful southern forests.
Be part of a new experience, discover tracks & trails previously closed to all but VTT riders, this is a great opportunity to join in the spirit of solidarity and comradeship of Trail-running. Great for experienced runners or a beginners!
Choose from three different races:
4 km Fun Run / 12 km Short trail / 23 km Long trail
Registration opens on May 1. Mark your calendar and get ready for a unique challenge in a breath-taking setting that boasts rugged mountains, lush forests, savannah and local wildlife.

Races
Sentiers du Chateau (4km)
Youngsters under 11 years should be accompanied by adult.
Un parcours rapide (pour certains!) et facile entre les cannes, jardins et bassins du château. Parfait pour les enfants et leurs parents.
There is no timing system and NO COMPETITIVE medals will be given.
An easy circuit for youngsters and their parents or grandparents. A relatively flat route, but remember it is a TRAIL and that means some unstable surfaces - so take care. Enjoy the feeling of space and Nature.
Obligatory Equipment
All participants MUST carry water.

Sentiers de la Rivière des Créoles (12km)
Be well prepared for a run in nature, with the usual challenges of rocks, roots and the variable weather.
Dénivelé : +/- 330
1ere partie rapide pour se diriger vers la chasse de Rivière des Créoles... Ensuite direction le point culminant à plus de 400m de hauteur, Chapeau Fer Blanc offre une vue panoramique à 360 degrés de toute la côte Sud-Est ; Unique ! pour ensuite descendre dans le lit de la rivière des créoles, ou un canyon secret vous attend, et terminer dans la cour de la vieille usine.
An excellent circuit for trailers & cross athletes. Enjoy the feeling of space and Nature.
Obligatory Equipment
Carry water, make sure you are properly equipped for a trail run, with appropriate shoes, backpack and face cover against the sun. You must carry a functioning mobile phone.

Make sure you are properly prepared and can cope with a challenging run on diverse tracks.
Dénivelé : +/- 650
1ere partie entre rivière et cannes traversant certains ponts réalisés par les premiers français au 18eme siècle... Ensuite direction les crêtes séparant la vallée de Riche en Eau et Le Vallon, surplombant tout le lagon de Mahebourg pour rejoindre le parcours des sentiers de la rivière des créoles et atteindre le point culminant à plus de 400m de hauteur, Chapeau Fer Blanc qui offre une vue panoramique à 360 degrés de toute la côte Sud-Est ; Unique!
Ensuite descendre dans le lit de la rivière des créoles, ou un canyon secret vous attend, et terminer dans la cour de la vieille usine
