Get ready for the unique Medine trail! 

Set in the Yemen nature reserve, this trail event offers the promise of a thrilling and unforgettable experience, whether you're an experienced runner or a beginner!

Choose from three different races:

5 km Fun Run / 13 km Short trail / 28 km Long trail

Registration opens a few weeks before the event. Mark your calendar and get ready for a unique challenge in a breath-taking setting that boasts rugged mountains, lush forests, savannah and local wildlife.

Medine Fun Run (5km)

Youngsters under 11 years should be accompanied by adult.

 

A cool run for kids, and older ones who are looking for a morning hike, in the wonderful Yemen preserve.  This is NOT a race but a run for enjoyment and to expose youngsters to exercise in nature. You must have a reasonable level of fitness as there is a climb, not long but steep in parts.

There is no timing system and NO COMPETITIVE medals will be given.

An easy circuit for youngsters and their parents or grandparents. But remember it is a TRAIL and that means a climb and a descent, on forest tracks. There may be a bit of mud and the uphill climb is steep in parts! Enjoy the feeling of space and Nature.

Medine Short Trail (13km)

Be well prepared for a run in nature, with the usual challenges of rocks, roots and the wildlife of the chasse.

A challenging short trail with short, intense climbs and lots of running, across savannas and along mountain ridges. A great way to test your fitness and experience nature in its purest form.

An excellent circuit for trailers & cross athletes. Enjoy the feeling of space and Nature.

A refreshment point at mid-route, and refreshments and a breadroll at the Finish.

Obligatory Equipment

Carry water, make sure you are properly equipped for a trail run, with appropriate shoes, backpack and face cover against the sun.  You must carry a functioning mobile phone.

Medine Long Trail (28km)

Although 28 kilometres might not seem far for the experienced trailer, make sure you are properly prepared and can cope with a good run on 100% nature tracks.

A cool run for trailers, in mountain and on savannah trails.

An challenging circuit for trailers & cross athletes. Enjoy the feeling of space and Nature.

Start at the Yemen pavillon, then along ridges to the forest reserves in the surrounding mountains and down to savanna, to finish back at the start.

One refreshment point en route, at 20 km, with one waterpoint at 15km; refreshment and breadroll at the Finish.

Obligatory Equipment

Carry water and plan your refreshment. Sun-screen if it is a sunny day is recommended.  You must carry a mobile phone.
